Partners James J. Morici, Jr. and Lisa M. Longo, recovered $7,500,000.00 in a confidential settlement. The suit was centered upon injuries sustained by a construction laborer when he fell off of a two-foot diameter pipe, striking his head on an excavation project. The injured worker sustained injuries resulting in neuronal brain damage as well as severe psychological impairment that resulted in debilitating injuries preventing him from returning to work. The case was brought pursuant to principals of construction site negligence under Restatement Section 414. It is one in a long line of seven-figure verdicts and settlements recovered by the Morici, Longo & Associates firm over the course of their nearly 25-year history as Chicago’s leading personal injury and workers compensation firm representing injured construction workers.
