Weather alert for today: snowfall projected

Forecasts show that snowfall will start accumulating this afternoon which could hamper today’s commute. Today’s rain will transition into snow mostly over northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

Slush on roadways is possible along with reduced visibility, lower temperatures and snow accumulation of an inch of snow could fall overnight.
