The Illinois Department of Transportation and Indiana Department of Transportation both reported they had deployed their full fleet yesterday evening focusing on salting and plowing main streets.
Check airports for delayed and cancelled flights. Metra reported they may experience service disruptions due to the extra snow fall and low temperatures. Also, check Tollways for temporary lane closures.
If you are able, postpone all non-emergency travel during this time; however, if you must travel have an emergency kit stored in your vehicle.
